ABR RULES & REGULATIONS

1) CONTESTANT ELIGIBILITY:

To compete in an ABR event you must meet the following requirements:

a) Be sixteen (16) years of age or older. Minors must have a parent or legal guardian present to sign waiver.

b) Present a valid Drivers License at time of sign-up & registration.

2) WAIVER & RELEASE FROM LIABILITY:

a) All contestants must sign a Waiver & Release From Liability Agreement before practicing and/or competing.

b) In the event of an accident the individual’s insurance company will be held responsible for compensation of any and all injuries and/or damages, NOT the ABR.

3) VEHICLE ELIGIBILITY:

a) Any four wheel, motorized automobile originally designed and manufactured for legal highway transportation.

b) Automobiles are not required to be "street-legal" in order to qualify, but must have the original VIN number issued by the manufacturer.

c) There are no limitations or restrictions as to front-wheel, rear-wheel, or all-wheel drive vehicles, fuel-mixture, and/or horse-power.

d) Only automobiles deemed "safe" by an official ABR Safety Technicians will be eligible to compete.

4) VEHICLE SAFETY INSPECTION:

a) All vehicles must be inspected by an official ABR Safety Inspection Technician and pass inspection before practicing and/or competing at an ABR competition.

b) All vehicles must be equipped with, and/or meet the following safety rules and regulations:

1) A properly functioning driver’s seat-belt in good condition.
2) A clean windshield.
3) A properly secured battery.
4) An empty trunk.
5) Properly functioning front and rear brakes.
6) Properly inflated tires.
7) A safe and properly functioning steering system.
8) No leaking fluids of any kind.
9) No excessive exhaust and/or smoke.
10) Properly secured wheels with all required lug-nuts.

5) OFFICIAL ABR SAFETY PASS:

a) Upon passing the Safety Inspection, an OFFICIAL ABR SAFETY PASS STICKER will be placed on the vehicle’s windshield in the lower corner of the passenger side. Any vehicles without an Official ABR Safety Pass Sticker will not be allowed onto the race track to practice or compete.

b) All judgments, rulings and/or decisions made by the ABR Safety Inspection Technicians are final.

6) RACE TRACK DIMENSIONS:

a) The distance from the Starting Line to the 1st barrel is approximately 100 feet.

b) The distance from the 1st barrel to the 2nd barrel is approximately 100 feet.

c) The distance from the 2nd barrel to the 3rd barrel is approximately 100 feet.

d) The distance from the 3rd barrel to the Finish Line is approximately 100 feet.

e) The above mentioned track dimensions may be subject to change due to the available size of each ABR location.

7) RACE TRACK RULES, DIRECTIONS & DISQUALIFICATIONS:

a) Crossing over the starting-line with any portion of your vehicle before the light turns GREEN is an automatic disqualification.

b) The first of the three (3) barrels may be circled by the contestant in either direction.

c) Each contestant must maneuver their vehicle 360 degrees around each of the three (3) barrels before crossing over the finish-line.

d) Each contestant must circle each of the three (3) barrels in the opposite direction. Failing to circle each barrel in the opposite direction will result in 5 seconds being added to his or her time.

e) During an actual race, touching any of the three (3) barrels with any portion of your vehicle will result in 5 seconds being added to his or her time.

f) STARTING-LINE:
Each contestant will be allowed no more than two (2) minutes to position his or her vehicle at the Starting Line from the time his or her name and/or number has been announced. Any contestant failing to have his or her car at the Starting Line in the appropriate position, and ready to compete within the two (2) minute period will automatically be disqualified.

g) DRUGS & ALCOHOL:
Any consumption, and/or use of drugs, narcotics and/or alcohol prior to, and/or during an ABR event will automatically result in a disqualification.

h) UN-SPORTSMAN-LIKE CONDUCT:
Any un-sportsman-like conduct, unnecessary, reckless and/or unsafe driving of any kind, in and/or around the pit-area, parking lot, or race track will automatically result in a disqualification.

8) PIT AREA:

a) No one under sixteen (16) years of age without a wristband will be permitted into the pit area.

b) Just like the event grounds - no drugs and/or alcoholic beverages are allowed inside the pit area.

c) No animals are allowed inside the pit area.

d) The maximum speed limit inside the pit area is 5 mph.

e) Riding of skate-boards, roller-blades, motorized scooters or quads is strictly prohibited inside the pit area.

f) Each contestant is allowed only one (1) trailer and one (1) towing unit inside the pit area.

g) The dumping and/or "accidental spilling" of fuel, oil, transmission and/or brake-fluid on to the ground inside the pit area is strictly prohibited and subject to a disqualification and/or a $250 dollar fine.

9) ENTRIES & REGISTRATION:

a) All contestants must sign-in at the REGISTRATION TABLE at least two (2) hours prior to the scheduled time of event.

b) All contestants must provide indisputable proof of auto insurance along with a valid drivers license at the time of sign-in & registration.

c) Upon signing in, each paid contestant will be given a COMPETITION NUMBER and/or PRACTICE STICKER to be placed on the passenger side of his or her windshield. No vehicle will be allowed onto the track or into the pit-area without a registered Competition Number or Practice Sticker.

d) Each paid contestant will receive a CONTESTANT WRIST BAND that must be worn on the LEFT WRIST at all times in order to have access onto the track.

e) There will be absolutely no refunds given. Cars should arrive at the track in good working order and prepared to race.

10) DRIVER’S MEETING:

a) A MANDITORY Driver’s Meeting will be held at the location of the scheduled ABR event prior to commencement of the Qualifying races.

b) Any contestant who does not attend the driver’s meeting will not be permitted to practice and/or compete.

11) PRACTICE SESSION:

a) A free, two (2) hour practice session will be held prior to commencement of competition.

b) All ABR track rules apply during practice session.

12) QUALIFYING:

a) Each paid contestant will be given one (1) chance to qualify.


b) Only the sixteen (16) drivers with the fastest qualifying times will advance into the eliminations.

c) Each contestant shall have to liberty to switch, share and/or alternate vehicles during an ABR competition, but must clearly display their originally assigned race number on alternate vehicle(s).

13) RAIN:

a) In the event of rain the entire race track will be wet-down so that the surface conditions are consistent for every contestant.

b) Any contestants who may have made a qualifying run prior to the commencement of rain will relinquish their existing time and start over.

14) BLACK FLAG:

A Black Flag waived by an ABR Official means the contestant in that particular lane has been disqualified.

15) ENTRY FEES & WINNINGS:

a) Only CASH MONEY will be accepted as payment. PERSONAL CHECK will not be accepted!

b) The ENTRY FEE for the $1,000 purse race is $100 per contestant.

c) The ENTRY FEE for the $5,000 purse race is $250 per contestant.

16) DISBURSEMENT OF PURSE:

To be Announced

17) ADDITIONAL TRACK RULES:

a) Only the paid, registered contestant will be allowed inside the vehicle while on the race track. No passengers will be permitted!

b) The ABR reserves the right to refuse participation to anyone suspected of being under the influence of drugs and/or alcohol.
